Biography: Sergio Perez is Manager of Carbody & Calculation in the Truck Engineering and Development Department at Stadler Valencia, a position he has held since 2012. During this period, Sergio actively participated in all new Stadler Valencia truck and carbody developments, such as the Stadler TRAMLINK and CITYLINK Light Rail Vehicle family, Metro trucks for the Stadler Mersey Rail Vehicle in the UK, and the Stadler Metro MARTA vehicle in the US. Sergio also actively participated in the locomotive trucks for the Stadler EURODUAL family and the Metrolink F125 locomotive.

Prior to this work at Stadler, Sergio worked as a calculation group leader and senior expert at Alstom dealing with the vehicle dynamics, Wheel/rail interface, and structural strength for all Alstom truck products – from light rail vehicles to high-speed trains. Sergio started his railroad career in Alstom Valencia in 1998 as a vehicle dynamics engineer, where he was in charge of vehicle dynamic simulations, vehicle dynamic tests, and suspension component definition over several years.
