Biography: Fabian Hansmann is Deputy Director of Marketing at Plasser & Theurer. He started his railroad career as Senior Expert Track Technology at role of Plasser & Theurer. In 2019, he moved to the U.S. to work as a scientific advisor for Railroad Engineering and Applied Technology at Plasser American. After two years in the U.S., he returned to Europe, to assume his current position as Deputy Marketing Director at Plasser & Theurer.

Fabian obtained a degree in civil engineering, specialising in environmental and transportation engineering, from Graz University of Technology in Austria, where he worked as a research associate at the Institute of Railway Engineering and Transport Economy. His subsequently obtained a PhD; his thesis was on railway track asset management.
