Biography: Bill Doran is a Principal Engineer at PreScience Engineers, a firm specializing in engineering project and construction management. Prior to joining PreScience, Bill was with the Southern California Regional Rail Authority, operator of the Metrolink commuter rail service where he served (among other positions) as Director of Engineering and Construction.
Bill worked for over 25 years in construction contracting and was involved with several rail transit projects in California, as well as work on container terminals and other facilities used by Class I railroads. Bill financed his engineering education by working for the former Southern Pacific Railway as a technical student in the Engineering Department. He is a licensed engineer in California.
