Andrea Berry

Biography:
Andrea (Andie) Berry-Morris works for Holland, L.P. as the Director of New Product Development for the Railway Measurement Systems and Services Division.
Andie graduated from Duke University in 2001 with dual Bachelor of Science and Engineering degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, with specialized studies in semiconductor physics, biomedical instrumentation, VLSI, and bioelectricity. Post graduation, Andie worked for a large semiconductor manufacturer designing logic and interface chips for use in various electronic applications, including backplane and computing technologies and mobile devices. Andie continued her work in the field of electrical engineering design as the lead engineer for a high-precision laser radar manufacturer.
In 2006 Andie joined the rail industry, using her backgrounds of engineering design and product management to advance state-of-the-art track evaluation and measurement technologies in the field. She has worked on a variety of technologies that are widely used by the industry today, including geometry measurement systems, machine vision technologies, RFID/transponder implementation, and data analysis software packages. Andie’s work focuses on managing the development and application of emerging technologies for use in the rail industry, where her primary responsibilities include opportunity identification, technology assessment and validation, and business development. Mrs. Berry-Morris has broad experience in the industry, serving Class 1 customers, the Federal Railroad Administration, Short Line railroads and Transits alike in product development, implementation, technical service and business management capacities. She is an active participant in AREMA Committee 2, Track Measurement and Assessment Systems.
Andie is currently an MBA Candidate at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
